For Global Reinsurance Companies one of the greatest values was the delivery of an integrated, real-time Deal Management System, which allowed users to operate all deal related business functions including deal maintenance, underwriting accounting, reserving, performance monitoring, and risk management through a web-based interface.
The solution was delivered using portal technologies and provided users seamless access to both the operational features that supported all post-bound deal activities as well as a rich set of reports and analytic capabilities that were used by senior management to measure overall deal and investment performance.
Customized information through this interface was also made available to each of the business units. “Profitability by Underwriter”, “Premiums by Contract”, “Reserve Balances by Line Of Business” were just some of the typical reports and analytics that were available through the system in seconds.
Lastly, the system was tightly integrated with the Corporate General Ledger in order to eliminate the need for constant bridging and reconciliation.
Truision acted as the technical consultant for a project team doing a regulatory reporting audit for a major international financial institution including its derivative system, CALYPSO, where a detained analysis has been required to assure that it is in compliance with Federal and State banking regulations. Vetted the project plan for the system remediation and brought significant issues to top management’s attention. Developed a compliance plan for Regulations D and Q. Worked on designing a plan for scrubbing the regulatory data needed for regulatory reporting that was currently in client’s database.
Truision conducted an initial detailed analysis, and implemented a series of tactical improvements that lead to dramatic response time improvements, without adding any additional hardware or labor costs. As part of its overall analysis, Truision outlined a Phase II architectural strategy that included the development of:
- An integrated Data Hub to eliminate the numerous and redundant point-to-point interfaces that were over taxing the front-office systems.
- An Enterprise Data Warehouse to facilitate consolidated and Historical Position, P&L and Risk Reporting.
- An Enterprise Business Intelligence platform to facilitation reporting, query and analysis.
Responsible for the development and delivery of business user course material for the SAP Reinsurance Industry solution (FS-RI/FS-CD) for this global reinsurance company; Key components of this initiative included the full integration of documentation of SAP functionality with business process flows and parent-company regulations (European headquarters); Metrics of achievement included the successful tie-in of training and user documentation with process flows and software functionality. Due to the highly technical and arcane nature of the reinsurance accounting industry, considerable emphasis for critical success factors was placed on the ability to translate intricate business solutions into usable at-the-desk training and documentation for the end-user community.
At a Hedge Fund client, designed an evolving technology strategy for firm-wide data-acquisition, management and distribution and distribution (such as security and market data) based on current and future needs of the firm.

As consultants with business and technology expertise, our team provided an evolving technology strategy for firm-wide data – acquisition, management and distribution and distribution (such as security and market data) based on current and future needs of the firm.
Truision was subsequently engaged to implement the Phase II recommendations and delivered the firm’s first integrated Data Hub and Data Warehouse.
Performed a business process improvement study and provided recommendations for the finance and treasury areas of this multi-national real estate company. A series of interviews was conducted with key finance personnel along with an in-depth review of the data system pursuant to providing senior management with cost- and time-saving recommendations for their financial reporting and back-office endeavors. It is estimated that our recommendations, if adopted would save the organization considerable amounts of outflows expressed in terms of improved efficiencies and reduced process throughout.
